Our Story.
I started folk & Fable Co. years ago as a graphic design firm. I created branding and packaging for fellow entreprenuers.
turns out i don’t enjoy creating for other people. it was stressful and the time wasn’t worth the pay out.
fast forward a few years and mom tells me she wants to sell her vintage dishes and things she collected over the years.
As a fellow thrifter, I loved the idea of hunting down antiques giving them new life in someone’s home.
i also have a passion for books. I suggested we take the folk & Fable brand and relaunch the new business under that name.
We started out on etsy and then one day we were out thrifting and discovered the painted Tree.
We were immediately drawn to the store and thought it would be the perfect place for us to start selling our unique finds.
While the antique side of the business flopped, we’ve been thriving growing our book & Gift business.
So much we are ready to expand add a few more things onto our resume.
what’s next
while we are loving our vendor spaces in north carolina, we want to expand into the online space.
my personal mission is to create a safe space for all indie (and trad) authors to feel seen.
we are also going to start hosting small signing opportunities in our booth in our Cary Location.
the dreamer in me would also like to offer book boxes with special editions and monthly blind book subscriptions.
Hosting preorder campaigns and helping authors create/design their incentives.
my list goes on. Stay tuned.
