Newhouse University is on winter break, and Asher Lennox is heading home for the holidays.

ASHER:

My life on campus is everything I want except for one thing. Bridget Young. We may have lived in the same small mountain town for most of our lives, but she doesn’t know I exist. That hasn’t stopped me from thinking about her since the first day I saw her.

I’ve told myself a million times that I need to move on, but I always find a way back to her. It’s not surprising that my first stop back in town is the ski lodge her family owns. I want one glimpse of her before my winter break is over.

The last thing I expected was to walk out the door as her fake boyfriend. It isn’t every day the water boy gets to date the homecoming queen.

It will take a decent acting job to convince the town we’re a couple.

What do I have to do to prove it’s been real to me from the moment I said I was hers?

BRIDGET:

After balancing online classes, dodging my ex-boyfriend, and running my family’s ski lodge all fall, I need a break.

While the rest of the town is participating in the annual holiday festivities, you can find me curled up in front of the fire with a good book.

At least that was my plan, until my ex showed up while I was working. Before I have a chance to remind him we’re not together anymore, the stranger sitting at the bar wraps his arm around my waist and tells him that we’re together.

Instead of a week of quiet at home, I’m holding hands and getting forehead kisses from the cute guy with glasses that I can’t stop thinking about.

He said he’d be mine until January, but what if I want forever?
